» Package: 2 Days Awash National Park

Day 1
Depart east from Addis to the town of Awash.  You will take an afternoon game drive to visit the wildlife (warthogs, oryx, baboons, greater and lesser kudus, dik-diks, monkeys, gazelles, antelope, and if you are very lucky, a lion) and birdlife.  There is also a beautiful waterfall and very nice scenery over the Great Rift Valley.  Overnight in Awash at hotel (camping in the park also an option).

Day 2
Early the next morning, just before sunrise, return to the park to see the wildlife at their most active time.  Proceed up to the Fantale Crater for amazing views of the surrounding areas before proceeding to the Hot Springs in the northern end of the park.  You can take a dip in the waters here before proceeding back to Addis Ababa.
